visionUW --> Tim Mensing

I am majoring in Biology and Biochemistry, and am an ASUW and GPSS senator. I am also the philanthropy chair of my fraternity, Theta Xi.

I have first hand experience with all living conditions: I lived as a commuter, in a residence hall, and now in a greek house.

My passion is to make the UW experience more personable, connected, and effective for every single student through actions that have effect NOW and for the future.

I'm all about practical, tangible plans -- and making things actually happen. I've been talking to IFC/Panhel, RHSA, CIC, the City of Seattle, the UW police, The Daily, and countless other people to lay foundations for next year.

The office of president is one of great responsibility and possibility. It deserves vision that serves Everyone, and tangible ways of making that vision possible.

I could go on about how I’m going to work tirelessly, for you, the student, but that should be a given. Moreover, I will make this next school year matter for students in visible and immediate ways.

This will be accomplished by building upon the progress of this year while breathing new life into campus activity, advocacy and community through refined and defined campus collaboration. Also, by designing concrete plans of making these things happen: which we are already working on.
